“AWESOME! God Given Gift for Teaching! My son loves working with Mark! It’s the first time I have ever seen him actually get excited about learning! I believe it takes more than a degree to be a good teacher. I think you must have patience and a passion for seeing your students do well. Mark has all of this and more! So thankful he’s come into our lives!”

“Best tutor!  Mark is an excellent tutor and I highly recommend him. My daughters boyfriend hasn’t been in school for two years. Mark brought him up to speed in math in just 4 sessions. He has some learning disabilities which made schooling difficult. He passed his GED! He is so happy and now he is applying to college in the fall. Thanks so much Mark!”

“Mark’s most endearing teaching quality is his warm approach. From beginning to end, his informal method of unlocking algebraic concepts makes learning a fun and interesting process. His usable real world examples are applied to useful real world scenarios; in fact, you’ll find yourself using his techniques to save a few bucks at the supermarket. His videos are short, sweet, and organized in a killer sequence that builds well upon one another. And he’s willing to apply that all important human touch to learning. If you’re not getting something, he’s flexible enough to work with you, really work with you. Indeed, Mark’s tutoring style has helped me wake up some once dormant math muscles and I have to admit I’m feeling pretty proud of myself. Calculus here I come!”

“Mark is an excellent coach! About a month ago I was looking for someone to help me improve my chess game and I was immediately struck by how passionate Mark is about chess and how effective his teaching style is. Initially I was just looking for adult lessons, but after a couple sessions, I knew Mark would be a perfect coach for my 10 year old son. So now we take joint chess lessons with Mark a couple times a week. Mark’s interactive style, patience, depth of knowledge and ability to explain concepts is truly impressive. I don’t know how he does it, but I have never seen my 10 year old stay focused for a 2 hour lesson on anything… I am thrilled that Mark is our coach. I wish I could have given him 6 stars!”

“My son is in the 8th grade and has been home schooling the last two years because of the pandemic. We needed some help to make sure he was caught up with his algebra class so he could return without being stressed. We reached out to Mark with math coaching for help. He rolled up his sleeves and immediately got to work. My son not only had an easy transition going back to school but had fun doing it. Mark is easy going, knowledgeable, and great with kids. Thanks Mark for a great experience!”

“Great Experience! Today was our son’s first study session with Mark. We appreciated how he took the time to just talk with our son and get to know him. Mark also came prepared with current curriculum from our son’s professor. We look forward to working with Mark and we are confident after today’s meeting that he will have success in helping our son.”

“First of all I wanted to express my appreciation to you. Ever since last year you have been a huge part of my success and my love for challenges and for STEM. You are not only the best Geometry/Advanced Algebra teacher but the best life coach I’ve ever seen. I am sitting here preparing for my SAT tomorrow thinking of where I have come from and who has been a significant part of my success. You have helped me become a WILLING and CAPABLE learner. Also I hope one day you find a use for that quadrilateral book from last year 😁. I have taken your concepts to ROTC.  I now enjoy the challenge of STEM and will flourish in cyber/coding which is a math.  I would also like to thank you for being a reference for my possible job at the NSA. Thank you for your years of hard work. You have made outstanding students. I am ecstatic to have been your student!”

“First off I would like to say thank you. You were not only the smartest and most informative teachers I have ever had, but thank you for also being the most influential and impactful teacher I have ever had. You have affected my life in so many ways and have honestly remained my favorite teacher to this day. The efforts that you put in for all of your students were inspiring. You taught me so much about engineering and college on the side and inspired me to pursue a major in engineering so I thank you so much for that. You never failed to give me a high five in the hall or play with your brain teaser puzzles when I got bored during the day. You will forever be my favorite teacher and I appreciate you so so so much. I hope you continue to have a very happy life, thank you so much for everything you have done for me.”

“Hi Mr. Menees, I just wanted to thank you for being the best teacher I’ve ever had. Although I was quiet in your class, you taught me so much, and not just about math. You’re such an inspiration to me, and I will always remember your kindness and generosity. I accredit you for some of my favorite high school memories.”

“Dear Mr. Menees,
I just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve done for me my freshman and sophomore year. You were the honestly the best teacher I’ve ever had. You truly care about our education and engaged me in my least favorite subject. I looked forward to your class every day and appreciated your willingness to help. I can’t thank you enough for everything and I wish you and your family the best.”

“You have easily been the best math teacher I’ve ever had, and you explained concepts in a way that was not only simple, but fun.  You had so many little games and activities to keep everything interesting and keep the class involved, something very few teachers do.  You understood math was not everyone’s favorite subject, but still have real-world uses for what you taught us and still made learning a dream, often ironically making math your students’ favorite subject in the process.  Thank you so much for all you’ve done.”

“Mr. Menees, I have never in my life had a better math teacher than you.  You show so much love and care for your students even though it requires countless hours of preparation.  You did almost everything, even outside of math, such as the multiple clubs.  If anybody deserves respect and admiration, it’s you.  Thanks for being an outstanding teacher and preparing me for college and life beyond that.  Thank you for the past two years of high school math.”

“Math was never my strongest subject.  In fact, math has always been my weakest subject since as long as I can remember.  But this year, it wasn’t my weakest subject.  I actually understand the material and I understand inequalities and rational functions more than I could ever say.  You made math fun and easy to understand, yet challenged us in a way where it was beneficial to us.  You made my skills in math stronger than they have ever been my entire life.  Thank you.  “
